Overview

The RTMC Web Server converts RTMC forms into HTML files. This allows real-time data displays to be shared via an Internet browser such as Internet Explorer. The HTML files created by this client can also display LoggerNet or RTDAQ status, as well as the most recent data (last record) in any of the data logger tables in the LoggerNet or RTDAQ network.

Detailed Description

The RTMC Web Server is purchased separately. It converts projects created in RTMC’s or RTMC Pro’s development program into HTML files. This allows real-time data displays to be shared via an Internet browser. The HTML files created by RTMC Web Server can also show the status of LoggerNet or RTDAQ, and display the newest records for each data logger setup in LoggerNet or RTDAQ.

For security, the RTMC Web Server is limited to read-only access (i.e., you cannot set input locations or toggle ports/flags using the Internet browser).

Note: For best performance, version 3.x of RTMC Pro or RTMC Development should be used to develop projects for RTMC Web Server version 3.x.

Software

A licensed copy of LoggerNet, LoggerNetAdm, or RTDAQ must be running on the PC.

RTMC Web Server Version 3.x is optimized for displaying projects created using the RTMC Pro 3.x development tool. RTMC Web Server Version 3.x will display projects from the version 2.5 development tool, but there may be differences seen in the development environment and the actual run-time display. For best performance, RTMC Pro version 3.x should be used to develop projects for RTMC Web Server Version 3.x.

RETIRED PRODUCT

This patch is for use ONLY if you have LoggerNet 4.0 or RTMC Pro 3.0 or newer.  It will upgrade all versions of RTMC Web Server between 1.6 and 3.1 to 3.2.

Note: RTMC 1.x projects must be imported into RTMC Developer 2.0 or greater, inspected and resaved before they will run.

Note: This application requires the Microsoft .Net 3.5 Framework.  If it is not already installed on your computer,  it can be obtained from the Microsoft Download Center.

    The CSI Web Server enables the viewing of RTMC projects using a web browser. CSI Web Server allows configuring the web server, checking the status of the web server, and easily browsing to sites running on the web server. An RTMC project can be published to either a PC website or to an HTTP-enabled data logger. The CSI Web Server is included with RTMC Pro. It also can be purchased separately for use with the standard RTMC Development application that is bundled with LoggerNet, LoggerNet Admin, LoggerNetData, and RTDAQ.
