The 4980 provides a solar radiation sensor, rain gage, and mounts. It was included with a 010, 011, or 012 pre-configured weather station. Although all of these weather stations are retired, the 4980 remains available as a replacement part.

The information included on a calibration sheet differs with each sensor. For some sensors, the sheet contains coefficients necessary to program a data logger. For other sensors, the calibration sheet is a pass/fail report.
