The "Typically Ships Within" value is an estimate of the number of calendar days within which this product is ready to ship from Campbell Scientific. Orders with more than 10 built-to-order products will likely increase the time needed to prepare the order for shipping.

To estimate how long it will take to receive an order that contains multiple products, combine the longest Ships Within value with the transit time of the shipping method you select.

Some specialized products have long Ships Within values. Because of this, you might consider submitting a separate order for these products so your other products won't be delayed.

Common Accessories

21847

Either this cable or the COAXSMA-L (see below) is typically used to connect the 18285 antenna with a RavenXT-series digital cellular modem. The 21847 has a 12-foot length. It consists of an LMR195 coaxial cable that terminates in a type N male connector on the "antenna end" and an SMA connector on the "transceiver end." If surge suppression is required, use the COAXNTN-L cable and 31317 Surge Suppressor Kit instead of this cable (see Other Accessories).
COAXSMA-L

COAXSMA-L Antenna Cable LMR195 w/SMA & Type N Male Connector

Either this cable or the 21847 (see above) is typically used to connect the 18285 antenna with a RavenXT-series digital cellular modem. The COAXSMA-L is offered for customers who want a user-specified lead length; a maximum length of 20 ft (6 m) is recommended. The COAXSMA consists of an LMR195 coaxial cable that terminates in a type N male connector on the "antenna end" and an SMA connector on the "transceiver end." If surge suppression or lengths longer than 20 feet are required, use the COAXNTN-L cable and 31317 Surge Suppressor Kit instead of this cable (see Other Accessories).

COAXNTN-L

COAXNTN-L Antenna Cable RG8 w/2 Type N Male Connectors

The COAXNTN-L is a low-loss RG8 coaxial cable that requires the 31317 surge suppressor to connect it to a RavenXT-series modem. The COAXNTN-L/31317 combination is recommended over the COAXSMA or 21847 when the RavenXT-series modem is used in an environment susceptible to lightning or electrostatic buildup, or when the antenna cable must be longer than 20 feet. Please note that cable lengths longer than 20 feet should be avoided because the signal strength will be weakened.

Allowed values: 1-500 ft, increments of 1 ft

Recommended length is 15, 25, or 35 ft (4.6, 7.7, or 10.8 m).
31317

The 31317 is an RF surge protection kit with flange mounting bracket. It may be flange-mounted to an enclosure backplate or bulkhead-mounted through an enclosure wall. One side of the surge protector connects to a radio with an SMA antenna connection. The other side connects to an antenna/antenna coaxial cable with Type N connector.

Replacement Parts

29097

The 29097 is intended to be purchased as a replacement part for the 18285 or to be bulkhead mounted through an enclosure wall. This is a multi-band, omnidirectional antenna for Campbell Scientific 3G cellular modems and gateways. It covers seven popular RF bands, is outdoor ready, and features field diversity with both vertical and horizontal polarization. This antenna does not come with any mast-mounting hardware. A metal ground plane should be provided to the antenna either by bulkhead mounting it through a metal enclosure or with the addition of a metal plate when mounting in a non-metallic enclosure.
18098

The 18098 is used to mount a 18285 omnidirectional antenna to a tripod or tower.
