The CR5000 has been been replaced by a CPI-enabled datalogger (CR6) and CDM modules (CDM-A100 Series) for better performance and increased channel count capability.

DCDC18R
 
This boost regulator allows vehicle power to recharge the CR5000's sealed rechargeable battery. The DCDC18R "boosts" the voltage levels supplied by the vehicle to 18 volts.

This interface cable provides a USB connector on one end and a 9-pin male RS-232 connector on the other end. The 17394 has a cable length of 6 ft (2 m).

The 29796 converts 100 to 240 Vac to a regulated 24 Vdc. It comes standard with a USA/Canada plug, with an option to add a kit for international use. The cable has 5 ft length and terminates in pigtails with "+" and "-" labels.

SP10 10W Solar Panel, 20ft Cable
 
The SP10 is used with the -RC rechargeable base option. This solar panel provides a 10 W maximum peak power, 9 W guaranteed minimum power, 0.59 A current at peak, and 16.8 V voltage at peak.

With the -PT option, the cable terminates in pigtails that connect directly to the datalogger.
-PW -PW w/Pre-Wire Connector
With the -PW option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a pre-wired enclosure.
-C -C w/ ET/CS110 Connector
With the -C option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a CS110 Electric Field Meter or an ET-series weather station. This is equivalent to the -LC version available for some sensors.

-SM -SM Std Mounting Kit
Standard mounting to allow solar panel to be mounted directly to the leg of a tower or crossarm.
-EM -EM Extended Mounting Kit
Extended Mounting Kit allows the solar panel to be mounted on a tower or crossarm that puts the panel approximately 25.4 cm (10 in.) from the mast. This reduces shadows on the solar panel from other components or guy wires, which negatively affects the performance of the solar panel. It does, however, increase the wind load on the system.

The 22110 recharges the CR5000's sealed rechargeable battery via ac power. On one end, the 22110 has a plug that inserts into an ac wall socket and on the other end, it has a connector that attaches to the prewired enclosure. The 22110 outputs 18 Vac @ 1.2 Amps and accepts 110 Vac."

CFMC256M
 
The CFMC256M is an industrial-grade CompactFlash card with a 256 MB storage capacity. The card is formatted as FAT32. CR5000s with older operating systems need the FAT16 format. A card formatted as FAT32 can be reformatted as FAT16.

The CFMC2G is an industrial-grade CompactFlash card with a 2 GB storage capacity. The card is formatted as FAT32. CR5000s with older operating systems need the FAT16 format. A card formatted as FAT32 can be reformatted as FAT16.
 
This service increases delivery time by approximately one week. The 21852 is offered for customers who require calibration validation from an accredited calibration laboratory. When the 21852 is ordered, Campbell Scientific calibrates the datalogger, and then sends the datalogger to Simco Electronics in Salt Lake City, Utah. After Simco receives the datalogger, they perform a calibration validation under the A2LA/NVLAP accreditation. Simco also provides a calibration certificate.

Replacement Parts

905
 
The 905 provides a 1/2 unit bag of desiccant that helps protect the inside of the CR5000 from condensation. This desiccant needs to be periodically replaced; often it is replaced when the 13497 lithium battery is replaced.
3768
 
The 3768 is shipped attached to the CR5000. This green, plug-in power connector provides screw terminals for connecting the 12 V and GND wires of the datalogger's power supply. The 3768 may be purchased to replace a lost or damaged power connector.
13497
 
The 13497 lithium battery needs to be periodically replaced. This internal battery supplies power for the CR5000's clock and SRAM when the CR5000's primary power supply is turned off or not connected.
 
The 13494 covers the input terminals of the CR5000 and serves to reduce temperature gradients across the terminals, reducing a potential source of error when making thermocouple measurements.

The 10645 is the screw used in the ground lug.
10873
 
The 10873 is a serial cable that is useful for connecting the RS-232 port of the datalogger to the 9-pin RS-232 port of a computer. The cable is six feet long.

This type T, 5 in. thermocouple is attached to a differential channel on several of our datalogger wiring panels when the datalogger is shipped. A 3315 may be ordered to replace a thermocouple that has become lost or damaged.

The 8125 is a small, flat-bladed screwdriver that is extremely useful for opening the guillotine terminals on our dataloggers and measurement control devices.
 
The 10516 can be ordered to replace a damaged base or to retrofit a CR5000 that has a low-profile (no battery) base. The 10516 includes two 6 V, 7 Ah sealed rechargeable batteries (installed) and charging circuitry.

The 13354 can be ordered to replace a damaged low-profile base or retrofit a CR5000 that has a sealed-rechargeable base. The 13354 base option is preferred when the system’s power consumption needs a user-supplied deep-cycle battery or when it’s advantageous to have a thinner datalogger. A user-supplied dc source is required.

Services

 
Retesting is available only to individual units that have previously passed Extended Temperature Testing. Retesting also requires concurrent purchase of recalibration.
 
The 16545 requires an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) from Campbell Scientific. When the 16545 is ordered, the CR5000 is recalibrated to meet original specifications. Recalibration includes standard temperature testing (-25° to 50°C). Before and after calibration sheets are supplied with the datalogger. The calibration price assumes return of a fully functional datalogger; charges for all repairs will be added to the invoice.
