The 15847 is available for CR500 dataloggers that have previously passed Extended Temperature Testing. Retesting requires a concurrent purchase of the 16544 recalibration and an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) from Campbell Scientific. As individual components age, their ability to perform within specifications at temperature extremes diminishes. Therefore, Campbell Scientific can not guarantee that individual units that previously passed Extended Temperature Testing will be capable of doing so at a later date.
 
Individual dataloggers can be returned to Campbell Scientific on an RMA to determine if they can pass Extended Temperature Testing. For the extended temperature range, analog accuracies are derated approximately two times over published specifications. Campbell Scientific makes no guarantee that individual units sold originally with Standard Temperature Testing will meet Extended Temperature Testing criteria.
 
The 16544 recalibrates a CR500 datalogger to the original specifications. Before and after calibration sheets are supplied with the datalogger. Recalibration includes standard temperature testing (-25° to +50°C). An RMA (Returned Material Authorization) from Campbell Scientific is required. The calibration price assumes return of a fully functional datalogger; charges for all repairs will be added to the invoice.
