Campbell Scientific offers four software options, which are outlined below:
- PC200W
- Provides basic tools (clock set, program download, monitor data, retrieve data, etc.)
- Only works with direct connections between a PC and a data logger (that is, connecting through a serial COM port)
- Does not work with telecommunication, such as phone modems or Internet
- Offers simple tools to view and graph data files
- Includes Short Cut for generating programs
- Does not include the CRBasic or Edlog program editors
- Does not do automated scheduled data collection
- Is available as a free download from our website
- PC400
- Has all of the features of the PC200W
- Works with additional telecommunications options, such as IP ports and phone modems
- Does not work with combined communication options such as phone-to-radio
- Offers additional features, including the CRBasic and Edlog program editors
- Does not do automated scheduled data collection
- Is available as a free download from our website
- VisualWeather
- Has been designed for use with weather stations
- Allows connection to the station, viewing of current conditions, and data collection
- Does not include the CRBasic Editor or Edlog program editors
- Generates reports and graphs
- Does automated scheduled data collection
- Can be set up to create web content and transfer it to a web server via FTP
- Is available as a 30 day downloadable trial version
- LoggerNet
- Is not as simple to use as VisualWeather, but contains the tools needed to communicate with, program, manage, and collect data from a single data logger or a network of data loggers
- Includes the CRBasic and Edlog program editors
- Can communicate with any configuration of hardware and telemetry offered by Campbell Scientific
- Includes tools to view, graph, and manipulate data files
- Does automated scheduled data collection
- Has a task manager to manipulate data files following collection
