Overview

The CM315 is a 47 cm (18.5 in.), stainless-steel, 1.5 in. NPS vertical pole. It is designed for mounting sensors, or other instruments, and is an ideal mount for remote sensors such as a RainVue™10 or RainVue 20 precipitation sensor. The sensor is typically mounted to the CM315 via the CM241 Base Plate Mount. This mounting pole can be mounted to a concrete foundation using the CM340 J-Bolt Pedestal Kit for Mounting Pole for a final RainVue rain bucket mounting height of approximately 1 m (3.28 ft).

Note: Grounding connections from the mounting pole to the system’s main tripod/tower or to the ground are important to help protect the system and measurements. The parts to establish these grounding connections are not included with the mounting pole.

Compatibility

The CM315 uses our standard 3.81 cm (1.5 in.) pipe with an outer diameter of 4.83 cm (1.9 in.).

This pole is not compatible with the CM216 Sensor Mounting Kit for Top of Tripod Mast. A hole must be drilled in the CM315 mounting pole, unlike other masts, to mount a CM216 sensor mounting kit.

J-Bolt Pedestal Kit

The J-Bolt Kit is for permanent installations. With this kit, customers can more easily control the pole‘s placement, ensuring that the pole remains in a vertical position. J-bolts are installed in a concrete foundation using the template provided with the kit. Leveling nuts allow adjustment of the pole’s position.
