The EasyAG ® probes are manufactured by Sentek to provide soil water content profiles for irrigation scheduling or other water movement systems. The measurement range is oven dry to saturation. The probes measure soil moisture at multiple depths and are easy to install. Tools offered by Campbell Scientific allow the probes to be installed with minimal soil disturbance.
EasyAG is used in cultivated soils of good tilth, commonly found in vegetable production areas. The standard EasyAG probe measures water content at depths of 10 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, and 50 cm. A longer 80 cm version is available that provides water content measurements at depths of 10 cm, 30 cm, 50 cm, and 80 cm. EasyAG is unsuitable for stony soils where the average stone size is greater than 10 mm; EnviroSMART should be used for those applications.
