The Raven100 CDMA modem is an Airlink product made for use on Verizon cellular networks. At the field site, the datalogger, Raven modem, and its antenna communicate with a local cellular tower. The cellular tower, in turn, is accessed by the customer's computer running LoggerNet software. The computer accesses the modem via the Internet using CDMA/1xRTT network.
At the present time, a static IP account is required to use 1xRTT. There is typically a "one-time-per-customer charge" to activate accounts of this type. Once activated, additional static IP accounts may be added to the customer's name at no additional charge.
