The 8699 is a 3-ft cable used to connect a data logger to the SC100. One end of this cable terminates in a 9-pin female connector (for attachment to the 9-pin male D-style connector on the SC100). The other end of the cable terminates in seven conductors. Up to four of those conductors connect to the data logger's control ports; two of the remaining conductors connect to ground; and the last conductor connects to a 5 V or 12 V power terminal (jumper configurable).
