Overview
The 4298 was retired on January 27, 2009. It was the 22-AWG, two-twisted pair cable used to construct the MUXPOWER-L and MUXSIGNAL-L. The 4298 was chosen for the MUXPOWER-L and MUXSIGNAL-L because of its low capacitance and resistance specifications. The 4298 was also the extension cable that connected a PST3 or PST8 system to one DES1 using six-pin Amphenol connectors. Campbell Scientific replaced the MUXPOWER-L and MUXSIGNAL-L with the CABLE4CBL-L, CABLE3CBL-L, or CABLE5CBL-L, which are more rugged. The PST3 and PST8 were retired many years ago.
