Overview
The 10872 spans the CR23X analog input terminals, thus reducing thermal gradients and reducing a potential source of error when making thermocouple measurements.
The 10872 only works with the older CR23X models that had the gray terminal connectors.
The newer style CR23X had green removable terminal connectors. A different cover is required to for that style CR23X. Contact Campbell Scientific for more information.
