Allowed values: 0-50 ft, increments of 1 ft

Maximum cable length is 50 feet. For longer cable lengths, use the WINDSONIC4-L or contact Campbell Scientific for other alternatives.

Campbell Scientific recommends the following lead lengths assuming the sensor is mounted atop the tripod/tower via CM202 crossarm:
  • 13 ft (WINDSONIC1-L13) for a CM106B tripod, CM110 tripod, or UT10 tower
  • 19 ft (WINDSONIC1-L19) for our CM115 tripod
  • 24 ft (WINDSONIC1-L24) for our CM120 tripod or UT20 tower
  • 34 ft (WINDSONIC1-L34) for our UT30 tower
Cable Termination Options - show details
-PT -PT w/Tinned Wires
With the -PT option, the cable terminates in pigtails that connect directly to the datalogger.
-PW -PW w/Pre-Wire Connector
With the -PW option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a prewired enclosure.

The 31897 may be used to connect the CPI/RS-232 port to an RS-232 pigtailed sensor.

The 34344 is a mounting kit that can be installed on a vertical pipe or mast, or on a horizontal crossarm less than 6.35 cm (2.5 in.) in diameter. The kit includes a mounting stand and three pan truss screws, which are used to attach the following: the sensor; two 5/16 x 3.0 in. carriage screws; and two sets of wing nuts, washers, and lock washers.

The WINDSONIC1CBL-L connects the WindSonic1 to the datalogger. It consists of a 22 AWG cable with a pinned military-style connector and a UV-resistant Santoprene jacket. Maximum cable length is 50 feet.
