Charging Sources - show details
-NC -NC No Charging Source
The No Charging Option should be selected if you already have a suitable source of DC power for the TurfWeather Station.
-SP -SP 5W Solar Panel
The 5-W solar panel has a 72 square inch surface area. It is fitted with a connector for insertion into a mating power connector on the TurfWeather Station.
-CAB -CAB 20ft Power Cable
The cable connects the DC output from an acceptable transformer (see option -AC) to the TurfWeather station. It has a 20-foot (7 m) length.
-AC -AC AC Power Kit
The wall charger is fitted with a plug for insertion into an ac wall socket and a special connector on the other end for insertion into a mating power connector on the TurfWeather. It is recommended only where ac power is available at the TurfWeather's installation location. The transformer is not intended for exposure to the elements. The TW Power Cable (pn 16871) is included to extend the distance between a wall outlet and the TurfWeather; the power cable's length is 7.6 m (25 ft). The cable on the wall charger has a 1.6 m (6 ft) length.
Short Haul Communications - show details
-NM -NM No Additional Modem
The No Modem option is ONLY applicable in cases where the customer wishes to manually collect data from the TurfWeather 232 via laptop computer.
-SH -SH Short Haul Modem Kit
The short haul modem option is available for customers who wish to transmit data via a 4-wire connection between the weather station and the base station computer. For most applications, transmission distance should be less than 1 mile (1.6 km). The short haul modem option is not recommended for areas that experience strong electrical storm activity.

An ATP100 may be needed for increased power or additional communications. The ATP100 expands the power and communications capabilities of a TurfWeather (TW) style station. The ATP100 kit includes a 10-inch-by-12-inch enclosure that houses a 7 Ah rechargeable battery and NL240 Wi-Fi interface. Several enclosure mount and antenna options are offered.

Replacement Parts

This 3 V Lithium battery powers the clock and SRAM when the primary 12 Vdc power supply is not connected. Campbell Scientific recommends replacing the battery every five years.
This radiation shield may be purchased to replace a damaged shield.
The 14159 provides a 12 Vdc, 0.8 Ah sealed rechargeable battery—connectors are not included.
