Recommended lead length is 25 feet (TE525-L25), but many customers will order a 50-ft cable to place the gage away from the tower or tripod.
Cable Termination Options - show details
-PT -PT w/Tinned Wires
With the -PT option, the cable terminates in pigtails that connect directly to the datalogger.
-PW -PW w/Pre-Wire Connector
With the -PW option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a prewired enclosure.
-CWS -CWS w/CWS900 Connector
With the -CWS option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a CWS900-series interface. Connection to a CWS900-series interface allows this sensor to be used in a wireless sensor network.
-C -C w/ET/CS110 Connector
With the -C option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a CS110 Electric Field Meter or an ET-series weather station. This is equivalent to the -LC version available for some sensors.
-RQ -RQ w/RAWS Connector
With the -RQ option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a RAWS-P Permanent Remote Automated Weather Station.

This wind screen consists of 32 leaves that hang freely and swing as the wind moves past them. The 260-953 helps minimize the affect of wind on the rain measurements.

CM300 23 inch Mounting Pole w/Cap
 
The CM300 provides a 23-inch long pole for mounting the TE525. This pole can be embedded directly into a concrete foundation or used with a pedestal kit. Campbell Scientific offers a j-bolt pedestal kit for permanent installations; a short leg kit for many temporary installations and many situations where it is impractical to use a concrete foundation; and a long leg kit for locations where the feet cannot be secured (e.g., pole sitting on a roof) or for areas that experience high wind speeds.

Select this if you are embedding the pole directly in a concrete foundation or supplying your own method for supporting the pole.
-PJ -PJ Pedestal J-Bolt Kit
Select this option to attach the pole onto a concrete foundation using j-bolts. With this kit, customers can more easily control the pole's placement ensuring that the pole remains in a vertical position. Each j-bolt includes nuts and washers.
-PS -PS Pedestal Short Legs
Pedestal Short Leg Kit includes three 23-inch legs, three metal feet, and a pedestal base. Feet can be secured to the ground via the 17049 Grounding Spikes (see Other Accessories). Replacement Parts

13818
 
The 13818 is a user-replaceable screen. Its 6" diameter fits at the base of the funnel.
5603
 
The 5603 is for newer TE525-series rain gages that have the reed switch enclosed in a black plastic housing. A screwdriver is required to replace the switch and rewire the connections. This replacement can generally be accomplished by users who wish to perform the replacement themselves. Alternatively, an RMA may be requested from Campbell Scientific, and the switch can be replaced by one of our technicians; this option may be more viable if the rain gage is scheduled to undergo factory recalibration at the same time.
30272
 
The 30272 is similar to the 5603 (see above), but it does not include terminal lugs. Users can often perform the replacement themselves. Alternatively, an RMA may be requested from Campbell Scientific and the switch can be replaced by one of our technicians. If your TE525MM rain gage has a reed switch that is encapsulated in glass with a red potting compound on either end of the glass tube, the rain gage should be returned to Campbell Scientific for replacement of both the reed switch and the tipping bucket mechanism.

The 30277 provides replacement clips for the funnel. Three clips are used to secure the funnel.

The 30278 provides a funnel/collector and a screen with snap ring for the TE525.
 
The 31826 is funnel retaining band that is used to help prevent the funnel from blowing off the bucket of a TE525-L.

The 33735 may be ordered as a replacement part if a thumb screw is lost or damaged.

Services

 
The 16567 is offered for customers wanting factory calibration. When factory calibration is ordered, Campbell Scientific will calibrate the rain gage using a procedure similar to that described in the manual (summing the recorded tips expected given a known volume of liquid passing through the gage then adjusting the calibration based on the result). Recalibration requires an RMA (Returned Material Authorization).

Note: the funnel is not required for the recalibration process. It may be removed to save on shipping costs, but the size of the funnel is required for the recalibration process and should be supplied with the base of the gage.
