The CS215-PWS makes accurate, stable measurements of both temperature and relative humidity. Its cable is fitted with a connector that attaches to the PWS100. The CS215-PWS should be housed in a 41303-5A Gill 6-Plate Radiation Shield (see below).
The 41303-5A provides a 6-plate naturally-aspirated radiation shield that houses one CS215-PWS probe. Its louvered construction allows air to pass freely through the shield thereby keeping the probe at or near ambient temperature. The 41303-5A attaches to a crossarm, mast, or user-supplied pipe with a 1.0" to 2.1" OD.
The RAD06 uses a double-louvered design that offers improved sensor protection from driving rain, snow, and insect intrusion. It also has lower self-heating in bright sunlight combined with higher temperatures (> 24°C (~75°F)) and low wind speeds (< 2m/s (~4.5 mph)), providing a better measurement.
The 25295 supplies 24 Vdc and 12 Vdc power; the hood heater requires 24 Vdc. The 25295 consists of a 24 Vdc, 10 A DIN-rail-mounted power supply and a 10 A, 12 V regulator (CH200), housed in an environmental enclosure. Access to ac power is required. The customer needs to order a battery (see below).
The -12 option provides an enclosure with internal dimensions of 12.0" x 14.0" x 5.5". This option is recommended if the enclosure will house the power supply only (i.e., a datalogger will not reside in the enclosure).
-16 1 Conduit 16/18 Enc
The -16 option provides an enclosure with internal dimensions 16.0" x 18.0" x 9.0" This option is recommended if the enclosure will also house a datalogger.
The -NM option is shipped without brackets. The no bracket option is recommended for customers who wish to bolt the flanges of the enclosure to a flat surface, such as securing it to a wall with lag bolts. This option might also be appropriate for applications in which the enclosure will be "set on a table."
-MM Tripod Mast Mounting
Order the "-MM" option if you want to mount your enclosure to the mast of one of our tripods or to a user-supplied pole with a 1.25" to 2.1" OD. A three-piece bracket attaches to the top of the enclosure and an identical three-piece bracket attaches to the bottom of the enclosure. Each bracket is attached to the mast or pole via a 2" u-bolt.
-TM Tower Mounting
Order the "-TM" option if you want to mount your enclosure to a UT10, UT20, or UT30 tower. This mounting bracket option uses the same 3-piece brackets as the "-MM" option, except the pieces are rearranged so that the flanges are on the side of the bracket instead of in the middle. Four 1.5" u-bolts attach the brackets to the tower legs.
Please note that enclosures with the "-TM" option are shipped configured for the UT10 tower. UT20 and UT30 customers will need to: (1) remove the bolts attaching the bracket to the enclosure, (2) slide out the flange sections so that the distance between the center of each flange is 17", and (3) reattach the bracket to the enclosure using the original bolts.
Three battery choices are offered for the 25295 Power Supply. The BP7 is a 7 A h, 12 Vdc sealed rechargeable battery. This battery includes the #17364 cable, the #10508 enclosure mounting bracket, four screws, and four grommets. The 17364 cable terminates in pigtails that attach to the 25295's MorningStar regulator.
Three battery choices are offered for the 25295 Power Supply. The BP12 is a 12 A h, 12 Vdc sealed rechargeable battery. This battery includes lead wires and hardware for mounting it to an enclosure backplate. The connector provided on the lead wires needs to be cut off to use with the 25295.
Three battery choices are offered for the 25295 Power Supply. The BP24 is a 24 A h, 12 Vdc sealed rechargeable battery. This battery includes lead wires and hardware for mounting it to an enclosure backplate. The connector provided on the lead wires needs to be cut off to use with the 25295.
The 34296 cable, used with the CS140 Background Luminance Sensor, forces communications to RS-232 38400 baud, and sensor id “0.” The CS140 continues to draw power from the existing power source. After the sensor is removed from its power source, the sensor returns to its previous communication address and settings.
The CS140 Calibrator is a high-quality device to generate a known luminance level for calibrating a CS140 Background Luminance Sensor. It is powered from the CS140 supply and is used while in communication with it.
