Strike Detector Options - show details

-SD -SD Strike Detector SG000
This option provides an SG000 Strike Guard Detector that detects lightning strikes up to 20 miles away.

When combined with one of the radio communication options below, the SG000 and the antenna need to be 15 feet apart for the RF407 or RF451 when set to 230 mW power. When the RF451 is set to 1 W power, the antenna and SG000 should be 60 feet apart. Due to its low power, the Wi-Fi (NL240) antenna can mount on the same tripod/mast as the SG000, but it should be 4 to 5 feet away from the SG000.

Strong radio signals from nearby objects (radars, etc.) can adversely affect the SG000. Frequent strong radio signals can shorten the life of the SG000's internal battery from the typical four years to less than one year, cause false lightning strike detections, or affect the self-test functions of the sensor. A Strike Guard Survey Sensor can be used to determine if deleterious radio signals are present at a given site.

The 17642 Zero Electric Field Cover is used to to check the electric field offset voltage of the CS110. If the measured electric field is ≥|60 V/m| with the Zero Electric Field Cover on, then inspection and cleaning of the electrode surfaces is recommended.
CS110FV
 
The CS110FV In-Field Verifier (Verifier) is used to verify a CS110 factory calibration. Housed in a rugged Pelican™ case, the Verifier includes a test cover that fits over the CS110 stator, a 12 Vdc alkaline battery pack, a GPS sensor to record the location of the CS110, and a CD100 keyboard display. A custom menu simplifies entering variables, initiating verification, monitoring the verification progress, and viewing the results.
