CS215-L CSL Temperature/RH Probe
One CS215-L is needed per CS125. The CS215-L is a temperature and relative humidity probe that uses a Swiss-made digital humidity and temperature element that makes accurate and stable measurements.
CS215-L Options - show details
-L ft cable per sensor

Allowed values: 1-1000 ft, increments of 1 ft

Campbell Scientific recommends:
  • 9 ft length—probe mounted to mast/leg at a 2 m height
  • 11 ft length—probe mounted to a CM202 at 2 m height
  • 14 ft length—probe mounted atop a CM106B, CM110, or UT10 via a CM202
  • 19 ft length—probe mounted atop a CM115 via a CM202
  • 24 ft length—probe mounted atop a UT20 via a CM202
  • 37 ft length—probe mounted atop a UT30 via a CM202
Add two feet to the cable length if you are mounting the enclosure on the leg base of a CM106B, CM110, CM115, or CM120 tripod.
Cable Termination Options - show details
-PT -PT w/Tinned Wires
With the -PT option, the cable terminates in pigtails that connect directly to the datalogger.
-PW -PW w/Pre-Wire Connector
With the -PW option, the cable terminates in a connector that attaches to a prewired enclosure.
The 41303-5A provides a six-plate naturally-aspirated radiation shield. Its louvered construction allows air to pass freely through the shield, thereby keeping the probe at or near ambient temperature. The 41303-5A attaches to a crossarm, mast, or user-supplied pipe with a 1.0" to 2.1" OD.
The RAD06 uses a double-louvered design that offers improved sensor protection from driving rain, snow, and insect intrusion. It also has lower self-heating in bright sunlight combined with higher temperatures (> 24°C (~75°F)) and low wind speeds (< 2m/s (~4.5 mph)), providing a better measurement.
The 28679 mounts the optic sensor at the appropriate height.
The 28680 cable allows the visibility sensor to be connected to a PC for configuration. This cable is 3 m (9.8 ft in length).
28370 24Vdc 3.8A NEC Class 2 Power Supply Kit (Battery Not Included)
The 28370 is an optional 24 Vdc power supply kit used to supply power only to the visibility sensor's 24 Vdc hood heaters. A 24 Vdc battery is purchased separately. Choose the -UL option if the power supply needs to be UL approved.

The CS140 is a high-quality background luminance sensor. It provides the luminance data required to assess the visibility range for lights such as runway lights or warning lights.
The 34296 cable, used with the CS140 Background Luminance Sensor, forces communications to RS-232 38400 baud, and sensor id “0.” The CS140 continues to draw power from the existing power source. After the sensor is removed from its power source, the sensor returns to its previous communication address and settings.
The CS140 Calibrator is a high-quality device to generate a known luminance level for calibrating a CS140 Background Luminance Sensor. It is powered from the CS140 supply and is used while in communication with it.
