Recommended length is 11 ft (43347-L11) for a 2 m mounting height, 24 ft (43347-L24) for a 6 m mounting height, and 34 ft (43347-L34) for a 10 m mounting height.
Wiring Configuration - show details
-VX -VX 4-Wire Half Bridge/VX
With the -VX option, the 43347 RTD is connected to the datalogger's voltage switched excitation ports. Prior to 19 July 2006, this was the only wiring configuation option available for the 43347.
-IX -IX Resistance/IX
This option allows the 43347 to receive current excitation from one of the current excitation channels on the datalogger. Only the CR3000 and CR5000 have current excitation channels.

Note: With the -IX option, if the cable length will be greater than 50 feet, please contact Campbell Scientific.

43502-L RM Young Compact Aspirated Shield
 
The 43502 Aspirated Radiation Shield allows temperature to be measured with an RMS error of less than ±0.2°C. The shield is made from a white thermoplastic material that provides low thermal conductivity and heat retention. Delta temperature measurements use two 43502s attached at different heights. The 43502 can be attached to a mast or crossarm.

Order an 11 ft (43502-L11) lead length for the 2 m measurement height, a 24 ft (43502-L24) lead length for mounting to the mast of a UT20 tower and a 34 ft (43502-L34) lead length for mounting to the mast of a UT30 tower.

Note: A standard cable length should not exceed 75 feet. If you would like to use a length longer than 75 feet, please contact Campbell Scientific.

The 41003-5 naturally aspirated radiation shield can serve as an alternative to the 43502 if a fan-driven aspiration shield is not required. The 27251 split nut is required to use the 41003-5 with the 43447 (see below).
27251
 
This split nut is required to secure the 43347 RTD into the 41003-5 radiation shield's base. The 27251 is used instead of the split nut that's provided with the 41003-5.
RAD10
 
The RAD10 uses a double-louvered design that offers improved sensor protection from driving rain, snow, and insect intrusion. It also has lower self-heating in bright sunlight combined with higher temperatures (> 24°C (~75°F)) and low wind speeds (< 2m/s (~4.5 mph)), providing a better measurement.

The 43347CBL2 cable is supplied with sensor when the -VX wiring configuration option has been chosen, and may be purchased as a replacement item. It connects the 43347-L to the voltage excitation channels on the datalogger.

The 43347CBL1-L is intended for replacement only. This cable supports attachment of the 43347 RTD to the current excitation channel of a CR3000 or CR5000 datalogger. A similar replacement cable, the 43347CBL2-L, should be ordered if the probe is measured in a 4-wire half bridge configuration.
