The 44489 adapter enables you to integrate a Kipp and Zonen sensor—such as the SMP10 Radiation Sensor with Digital RS-485 Output or SMP12—into a daisy-chain configuration on a SunSentry Solar Operational Meteorological Monitoring Station. The adapter allows the sensor to connect to the SunSentry system using a single trunk-line cable by remapping the pin assignments to match the RS485CBL 24 AWG RS-485 Cable with M12 Five-Pin Connector. The 44489 also routes the cable shield through the connector’s coupling nut, improving surge protection and reducing signal noise for more reliable operation.
