The Brazilian Meteorological Congresses (CBMET) biannually bring together the scientific and professional community of Brazil, to discuss and present the most recent research developed in the academic environment, as well as technological innovations in the area of Meteorology. In 2021, it is Campina Grande-PB's turn to host the country's main Meteorology event again, which will be promoted by the Brazilian Meteorological Society (SBMET) together with the Government of the State of Paraíba, through the Executive Water Management Agency of Paraíba State (AESA).
The congress is the main event promoted by the Brazilian Meteorological Society (SBMET), and in the year 2021 will be held the twenty-first edition of the event, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first CBMET held in Campina Grande-PB, the 40 years of regulation of the profession of Meteorologist, and World Meteorological Day. This event brings together students and professors from several national and international universities, researchers who work in operational meteorology research centers, professionals from state centers and public and private companies that generate and are users of meteorological information, in addition to various segments of society that use information generated by weather and climate forecasts, as well as specific products needed by decision makers,
