Overview
The CM300 is a 58 cm (23 in.), stainless-steel, 1.5 in. IPS vertical pole. It is designed for mounting sensors, enclosures, or other instruments, and is an ideal mount for remote sensors such as a tipping bucket rain gage or net radiometer. Our CS700, TB4, and 385 rain gages are typically mounted to the CM300 via the CM240 leveling base. This mounting pole can be embedded directly into a concrete foundation or used with a pedestal kit. (See Ordering Info on the web page.)
Note: Grounding connections from the mounting pole to the system’s main tripod/tower or to the ground are important to help protect the system and measurements. The parts to establish these grounding connections are not included with the mounting pole.

(5)CM345
Large Pole to Mast or Crossarm Adapter Kit
The CM345 is an adapter to mount a vertical 1 to 2.5 in, pipe (1.315 to 2.875 in. OD) or a 1 in, horizontal pipe (1.315 in. OD crossarm) to a large pole with a 20.32 to 53.34 cm (8 to 21 in,) diameter. By using this adapter with a vertical mast or crossarm, you can mount other standard Campbell Scientific gear to a larger pole. The vertical pipe clamps used are standard Unistrut clamps.

J-Bolt Pedestal Kit for Mounting Pole
Note: The CM340 can be used with the CM300 23 in. mounting pole. When purchased at the same time as this pole, it is not ordered as a CM340, but as option -PJ of the mounting pole part.
The CM340 kit uses j-bolts to attach a mounting pole (CM300 series or user-supplied 1.9 in. OD pipe) to a concrete base for permanent installations where there is a need to periodically plumb the pole. Nuts on the j-bolts are used to adjust the pedestal and pole, and they are then locked in place with additional nuts.OrderableCM350
Pedestal Kit with 23 in. Legs for a Mounting Pole
Note: The CM350 can be used with the CM300 23 in. mounting pole. When purchased at the same time as the pole, it is not ordered as a CM350, but as option -PS of the mounting pole part.
The CM350 is a pedestal base to support a 1.5 in. IPS mounting pole. When used with a mounting pole, the mounting pole becomes a basic tripod. it can be used as part of temporary installations or for applications where a concrete foundation is not an option. The CM350 and mounting pole will need to be properly grounded (parts not included) and secured to the ground so it doesn't blow over. The CM350, with shorter, 23 in. pedestal legs, is adequate for most applications. The CM355 has longer, 39 in. pedestal legs that provide additional stability for applications where the feet cannot be secured (for example, to the surface of a roof), for extended poles, or for locations with high winds.OrderableCM355
Pedestal Kit with 39 in. Legs for a Mounting Pole
Note: The CM355 can be used with the CM300 23 in. mounting pole. When purchased at the same time as this pole, it is not ordered as a CM355, but as option -PL of the mounting pole part.

Sensor Mounting Kit for Top of Tripod Mast
The CM216 provides both a 3/4-inch IPS (1.05-inch OD) and a 1-inch IPS (1.32-inch OD) mounting pipe that extends 4 inches above the mast. They are pipes with an adapter that bolts to the inside of the top of a CM106B tripod; a stainless-steel CM110, CM115, or CM120 tripod; or a CM300, CM305, or CM310 mounting pole. A sensor with a 1.05- or 1.32-inch OD fitting (typically a wind sensor or the R. M. Young rain/snow gage) can then be mounted on this pipe.

UV-Resistant 18 in. Cable Ties (quantity of 10)
The 39572 includes 10 of the 45.7 cm (18.1 in.) black, UV-resistant cable ties (pn 39333). These cable ties are often used with tripods and towers, and this 10-unit pack can be purchased as a replacement item. A connection is made by pulling the tapered end through the locking end, thus forming a loop. The free end is pulled tight to secure the cable tie, then trimmed back to the locking end. Once attached, the cable tie must be cut to be removed.

Pedestal Kits
Three pedestal kits are offered as options for this mounting pole (see Ordering Info).
J-Bolt Kit
The J-Bolt Kit is for permanent installations. With this kit, customers can more easily control the pole‘s placement, ensuring that the pole remains in a vertical position. J-bolts are installed in a concrete foundation using the template provided with the kit. Leveling nuts allow adjustment of the pole’s position.
Short Legs Kit
This pedestal kit is adequate for many temporary installations and for many situations where it is impractical to use a concrete foundation. The Short Legs Kit includes three 23 in. legs, three metal feet, and a pedestal base. The feet can be secured to the ground by using three 17049 Grounding Spikes (purchased separately).
Long Legs Kit
The Long Legs Kit provides more stability for locations where the feet cannot be secured (e.g., pole sitting on a roof), for extended poles, or for areas that experience high wind speeds. This kit includes three 39 in. legs, three metal feet, and a pedestal base. The feet can be secured to the ground by using three 17049 Grounding Spikes (purchased separately).
