The Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District (JVWCD) installed a monitoring system that records water quality parameters of the culinary water supply before it enters the aquifer (subsurface storage reservoir). The system consists of a CR10X datalogger that monitors pH, ORP, conductivity (total dissolved solids), and free chlorine. The data is passed to a PLC (programmable logic controller) and then on to a central computer. A CR10X-based weather station monitors general weather parameters at the main treatment plant.
