Overview
The HUB-SDM8 is intended for customers who want to connect up to five external SDMs to the same data logger, as well as run multiple power connections using 16 AWG wire. The HUB-SDM8 comprises an environmental enclosure with eight compression fittings (two larger) and eight terminal strips.

Cabling

- For each SDM, one CABLE5CBL-L cable connects the HUB-SDM8 terminal to 12V, Ground, and control ports.

5-Conductor 22 AWG Cable with Drain
This 22 AWG, five-conductor cable has a Santoprene® jacket and an aluminum mylar shield. One CABLE5CBL attaches the HUB-SDM8 to the datalogger. You also need a CABLE5CBL cable for each of the SDM devices.

Flat-Bladed Screwdriver, 2.5 mm Blade x 50 mm Shaft
If not ordering the datalogger on the same order, you might need this small, flat-bladed screwdriver. The 8125 is extremely useful for opening the guillotine terminals on the HUB-SDM8. The blade is 2.5 mm across and the untapered shaft length is 50 mm. The handle has an approximate length of 9 cm, and features a rotating end-cap that makes the screwdriver easy to rotate.

Mounting Bracket for Plastic Enclosure
The 15863 bracket attaches the HUB-SDM8 to a mast or pipe. It is included with the HUB-SDM8 and may be purchased to replace a bracket that has been lost or damaged.
