Level logic C1 C2 in CR310 for comm serial

I have an CR310 so I want to use the C1 C2 (com1) for communication serial in level TTL to another equipment. The manual says the C1 and C2 are rs232 but in level 5V. But when i connect both, i don't have response from the cr310.

I read the manual in the section digital I/O specifications and it says the High State of C1 is 5V and C2 is 3.3V. Can i suposse is the same to communication serial?.
