Measure levels logic in CR800

kokihualpa Mar 20, 2023 06:56 PM

I have an older equipment so I dont know what levels logic serials it have (TTL, 3.3V). I know the lines are RS232 but i think is not normal levels of RS232. With the CR800 can I measure the voltage of logic levels (5V, 3.3V, etc)?

I recommend VoltSE measurements with the 5000 mV range. Low state of some serial logic is 0V. Other RS232 chips will output -3.3V or -5V for low.

RS232 can be up to 13V, but 5V is more common. 13V would read as NAN.

Thank you

I did you said. So the CR800 read NAN using VoltSE. I suposed the Level logic High is more than 5V, it could be 13V. But when I comunicate in the serial port RS232 of CR800 I cant get response. And when I connect in usb port of my laptop using a Converter RS232/USB I get response. I dont know what it is happen

Yes, I understand. Right you were. Thus, the CR800 read no signal using VoltSE. I imagined Level logic High was larger than 5V, possibly 13V. Communication over the CR800's RS232 serial port yields no reply.  geometry dash
