1Hz data stops being updated/written after CF card removal

marciopf Dec 7, 2012 02:46 PM

Hello,

I'm using CR1000 dataloggers with CF card storage (the described below happens either with CFM100 and NL115 modules).

I'm storing data on 10minute and 1Hz, and on 2 separated tables, so I get 4 dat files in the CF card.
(e.g.: Data1_10min.dat, Data1_1Hz.dat, Data2_10min.dat and Data2_1Hz.dat).

Recently it started happening that after the removal of a CF card to copy data, the 1Hz data files stop being updated.

If I format the CF card before reinserting it, then the files are re-created and all the data is updated correctly.

Additional info:
The CF card is removed folowing the procedure described in the doc.: press remove button until LED=Green, then power off the Datalogger.

It is only used 1 CF card, theer is no CF card swapping.

After re-inserting the CF card the LED is flashing RED (presumably OK).

If any other info is useful I'm pleased to send it.

regards
Márcio

Hello,

how do you write the data to the card, with CardOut or TableFile?

I always use reformatted cards. By normal deletion of the data from the card I had already problems.

The CF card is removed folowing the procedure described in the doc.: press remove button until LED=Green, then power off the Datalogger.

Power off the logger, why?
