Enable disable keyboard display backlight

I have CR1000KD attached to CR1000, with a 3 minute display timeout. I want to programmatically enable the backlight and modify the display timeout to zero whenever a certain alarm condition is met, so as to engage the attention of local operators. 

The keyboard display settings appear to be inaccessible via the Settings table. Is there anyway to accomplish this idea?

You cannot programmatically control the backlight of the CR1000KD.
