CPI network - sync two loggers?

HMNIBIO Mar 6, 2020 07:38 AM

Hello,

At our site, we use a CPI-network of a CR1000x and some Volt-modules. Now I want to add a Cr1000, and measurements done with this logger need to be synchronised to the other measurements. I understand that this could be done using ModBus or IP-based methods. But can it be done CPI based, too? Can a Cr1000 be used as a CPI module in some way, using the SC-CPI?

Thank you very much!

Sorry, it can not. The best way would be to use a GPS16X-HVS with the CR1000. That way it is accurately time synced with the GPS system time. The next way would be to have the CR1000 use the CR1000X as a NTP server if the two loggers can see each other via a TCP/IP network. It can also be done via PakBus networking using the CRBasic instruction PakBusClock (on the CR1000) and ClockReport (on the CR1000X).
