LNLinux and RF407 communication

stephen_9 Jul 25, 2019 05:20 PM

I'm attempting to connect a RF407 to our LNLinux server. I can see the usb connection ("lsusb") however cannot connect to it with the Campbell scientific software interface (Only shows COMM1 or ttys0). Any thoughts or direction to the right documentation for this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Stephen

There are not Linux drivers for the USB ports on Campbell Scientific products. If you cannot get the connection working direct to the RF407, you should connect an RS232 of the PC to the RS232 port of the RF407. You should be able to find a Linux driver for a USB to RS232 cable such as part 17394. That cable uses a common FTDI chip.
