Upgrading OS of CR10X without SC32

Jimi84 Sep 27, 2017 02:50 PM

I don't have SC32B connector, but I have MD485 module.

I have set it to transparent mode and connected to Device configuration software

But when I try to upgrade OS it requires power off for CR10X, after restart it don't upgrade

Although I have tried to provide separate power to MD485 to make it available after CR10x is off, but communication failed

Anyone have tried to load OS through MD485

Thanks...

The MD485 will not work for updating the OS on a CR10X. The time it takes the MD485 to boot up will make the synch byte be missed.

You can only update the OS on the CR10X with a simple CSIO modem enabled interface. It should be a SC32A or SC32B. A SC932 with a female null modem cable also works.
