CELL2xx Operating System

Updated CELL205 to manage AT&T's shut down of its 3G network.

Added a cell update task timeout and more watchdog checking.

Added a modem full reset limit to protect the modem’s flash memory.

Fixed an issue that caused the CELL2XX to wake up needlessly on a status check from the logger.

Fixed an issue that could cause the operating system update using the "web.obj.gz" method to fail.

Updated the operating system so that the terminal sleep won’t be wokenup on PPP packets.

Added error checking to AT commands. The modem now performs a module reset when memory errors are detected.

Fixed an issue that could cause a corrupted backoff timer to not clear when sleeping.

Updated the modem’s ability to send SMS messages using arrays which are required by the new SMSSend() datalogger instruction. Users will need to use the currently released datalogger operating system to be able to send SMS messages.

(NOTE) Customers will not be able to update this operating system over the air (OTA) due to a bug in 02.015. Uploading the operating system while directly connected to the CELL2XX modem is required for this update. For maximum performance, users should consider updating their datalogger operating system to version 10.01 (CR6) or 04.01 (CR1000X) or 10.00 (CR300) due to improvements in the operating system for setting and controlling PPP communication between the datalogger and the modem when the modem is used in PPP mode.

Added "SHOW UPD RES" terminal command to show last OS update diagnostics.

Fixed an issue the could cause the CELL2XX to timeout a valid connection to a data logger that does not send the PPP frame flag 0x7E properly. CELL2XX modems that are connected to a CR800, CR850, CR3000, or CR1000 data logger when the CELL2XX modem is used in PPP mode is affected by this issue.

Fixed an issue that could cause the modem to not recover when in Serial Server or Serial Client mode.

Updated SMS send queue processing.

Fixed an issue that could cause a watchdog in the modem when releasing memory.

Fixed an issue that caused the wait timer to not reset correctly. This could cause a delay in modem startup of up to 90 seconds.

Added OMA (Open Mobile Alliance) checking in the CELL205 module. The module now deactivates the OMA auto-reporting function of the CELL205 module to the cellular provider. Prior to this change, modules on AT&T or T-Mobile networks were using extra cellular data that could not be accounted for by normal data logger operations.

Added a timeout that helps prevent the cell task from not being able to exit the "PPP Closing" state.

Improved reliability of SMSSend() and SMSReceive().

Fixed a communication failure caused by a corrupt back-off timeout.

Updated terminal command (SHOW DEV INFO) to include the OS date and version.

Added a memory check upon CELL2xx initialization. If the memory state is not correct on first boot up, then modem memory is set to a known state.

Updated the cellular modem UART initialization to fix communications issues with the modem.

Fixed an issue that caused the baud rate setting to not always be stored when the mode is modified.

Fixed an issue that caused PPP start packets to be sent to the network accidently, and the IP configuration to be reset by the data logger. This could occur when the module was used in PPP mode.

Improved the network registration process by adding a configuration reset when the cell module fails to register with the network.

Added modem factory default reset command.

Fixed an issue that could cause the module file system to reset and the configuration pages to be lost.

Updated the modem startup to clear unused PDP configurations.

Fixed formatting issues with modem pass through terminal.

Fixed an issue when using multiple trusted IP hosts that caused all IP communications to be blocked.

Resolved an issue that was introduced in OS 02.00 that caused the 10 second real time clock interrupt to not start. This caused the CELL2XX to watchdog (after ~30 seconds) when the device was put to sleep.

Added Network Operator settings to specify cellular carrier network.

Added Serial Client mode.

Added Serial Server/Client mode.

Updated the IP stack to support IPV6.

Added the ability specify PDP authentication settings.

Added Power schedule settings to all of the Serial Server/Client modes.

Added a Start page to user interface when connecting to the CELL2xx over cellular. The start page protects data usage by not responding to 1 second polling.

The over the air updates to the CELL2XX are now supported after updating to this OS. Directly sending the OS over the USB port is the proper method when updating from CELL_2xx_01_01_000.WEB.OBJ.GZ to CELL_2xx_01_02_000.WEB.OBJ.GZ

Allow the Username to be changed under User Accounts.

Set the default Terminal SDC Address to 11.
