CDM-VW300/305 OS
v6Execution of this download installs the CDM-VW300/305 Operating System on your computer for upload to the CDM-VW300/305 device with Device Configuration Utility.
Note: The CDM-VW300/305 OS v.2 or greater is required to use the CDM-VW300/305 with the CR6 datalogger or with a CR3000/1000/800 datalogger that is using OS 28 or higher. The SC-CPI Operating System will also need to be upgraded to SC-CPI OS v.2. If using a CR3000/1000/800 datalogger with an older OS, an operating system upgrade to the datalogger will be required.
Revision History
v6April 21, 2020
- New FeatureThe CDM OS version is now reported in the CPIStatus table when used with GRANITE dataloggers or with CR6 OS 10 or greater, or CR1000X OS 4 or greater. There is no requirement for the CDM or datalogger OS to be updated or matched unless the user wants to see the CDM OS version. If either the datalogger or CDM OS does not have this update, the OS information is just ignored (not reported in CPIStatus).
- MajorImproved CPI autobaud detection to avoid CAN bus collisions while searching for the correct bit rate. Prior to this improvement, it was possible for several VWIRE305 devices on the same CPI bus to attempt establishment of the correct bit rate in a synchronized pattern that may have prevented any of them from establishing a connection. In this situation, a system power cycle was required to recover communication between the datalogger and the VWIRE devices.
v5November 18, 2019
- Added support to allow VWIRE300 and VWIRE305 modules to exist on the same CPI network and work interchangeably in CRBasic programs.
v4October 25, 2017
- Fixed locking out CPI communications when the system ticker rolls over.
- Fixed a situation where modules were operating but not accounted for in the CPIStatus table. This could occur if modules were temporarily disconnected.
- Improved bus acquisition when a bit-rate change is made.
