CC640 OS

v1.52

Current CC640 firmware.

Note:Device Configuration Utility 1.15 or newer is required for compatibility.

Revision History

v1.52November 26, 2009
  • Added a setting for a security code value. This enables the camera to transfer images to dataloggers with a security code enabled. The security code is a value from 0 to 65535. Device Configuration Utility 1.15 or newer is required for compatibility with this new setting.
v1.51January 1, 1943
  • Corrected a problem where double time stamps were appearing in the CC640 images. The double time stamp only gets placed on the transmitted images and not on the memory card. The problem occurred under the following conditions: The time stamp is placed at the top, Different compression ratios are used for the Memory card and the Serial communications or the memory card is inserted.
v1.50January 1, 1942
  • Added feature that enables different compression ratios for transmitted images and images stored on the memory card.
  • Also corrected a problem where some cameras did not communicate properly on the RS-232 port when using Firmware Version 1.41.
v1.41January 1, 1941
  • Made a correction that was introduced in version 1.40 of the firmware. The compression ratio setting only applied to pictures stored on the memory card. Images transmitted to a datalogger would only be sent in High compression regardless of the setting set with the Device Configuration utility.
v1.40January 1, 1940
  • Added the focusing number feature to the video output.
  • Added a second pin for turning on the LED to accommodate the new PCB Version 1.5
v1.30January 1, 1930
  • Incorporated various changes to prevent higher than normal Quiescent current draws.
v1.29January 1, 1929
  • Enabled a pin on the External I/O to control an external Light.
v1.28January 1, 1928
  • Perform a system reset if using Device Configuration software via RS-485.
  • Added additional packet checks prior to updated clock from PakBus command (no problems observed and none are likely).
v1.27January 1, 1927
  • This firmware update allows the CC640 Automatic Time Sync function to work with the CR10X and the CR23X dataloggers.
v1.26January 1, 1926
  • The firmware update eliminates the possibility of having the camera take repeated images non-stop.
  • The camera can be placed into this mode under the following circumstances:
    a) The camera is communicating using the CS I/O port.
    b) An error occurs during communications that results in the processor resetting the PLD.
    c) An external trigger or self-timed event occurs after the PLD reset but before communications are completed.
  • Users who are using CS I/O communications in applications that are solar-powered will particularly want to perform this update to prevent a possible battery discharge due to the continuous operating current from the camera.
