SEDHYD 2015 Conference

From the SEDHYD Website:

The Federal Interagency Sedimentation Conferences (FISC) began in 1947, and the Federal Interagency Hydrologic Modeling Conferences began in 1998. These highly successful conferences, which together have produced over 2100 papers, are planned to occur again in 2015. Starting with the 2015 conference, this will now be a joint Public/Private activity (and have a new name – SedHyd). The Joint Conference will provide Federal and non-Federal scientists and managers from various disciplines the opportunity to discuss recent accomplishments and progress in research and on technical developments in the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of sedimentation and the development and use of models addressing surface water quality and quantity issues. The Joint Conference will follow a mixed set of formats including formal presentations, poster sessions, mini-workshops, and model demonstrations. A separate student poster paper session and competition for cash prizes is also scheduled.

Federal Interagency Sedimentation Conferences (FISC) were held in 1947, 1963, 1976, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2010.  As a continuation of these highly successful conferences, the combined 10th FISC and 5th FIHMC will again provide an interdisciplinary mix of scientists and managers from government agencies, academia, and the business community to make professional presentations on recent accomplishments and progress in research and on technical developments related to sedimentation processes and the impact of sediment on the environment.
