2025 CMOS-CGU Congress
From the website of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS):
The Society's premier event is the annual scientific congress attracting hundreds of participants from across Canada and from around the world. This year's Congress will be a hybrid congress, twinned with that of the Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU) and therefore promises to have a richly interesting and diverse scientific program.
A Presented by Adam Green of Campbell Scientific:
"Evaluation of a New Trace-Gas Analyzer Designed for Eddy Covariance Flux Measurements of Methane (CH₄) and Nitrous Oxide (N₂O)"
Campbell Scientific will be presenting new research on trace gas measurement technologies, focusing on the evaluation of the TGA300-series trace-gas analyzers for methane and nitrous oxide flux measurements.
Key features of the TGA300 include:
- Mid-infrared inter-cascade laser with a 1 m single-pass sample cell
- Integrated low-power vacuum pump maintaining 30 kPa sample pressure
- Reference gas cell for improved spectral line tracking and stability
- Vortex particle separator and integrated Nafion membrane for sample air cleaning
This work, authored by Ivan Bogoev and Scott S. Cornelsen, with contributions from Ben Conrad and Alex Singleton, highlights advancements in improving measurement accuracy and reliability for environmental and atmospheric research applications.
