2015 National Hydrologic Warning Council Training Conference & Exposition

From the National Hydrologic Warning Council Website:

Every day the news is full of stories globally on extreme floods and droughts and the related challenges to our water supply, water quality, and the sustainability of our environment. The need for hydrologic information and decision-making tools is growing in an increasingly complex world. The National Hydrologic Warning Council (NHWC) holds a biennial conference focused on these issues with the next being held in Indianapolis from June 16 to 18, 2015. It is the largest conference of its kind in the United States, devoted specifically to real-time hydrologic warning systems and how these systems and associated technologies assist local officials with hydrologic hazard preparedness, emergency response, recovery, and mitigation.

Reflecting the racing heritage of the location, the theme of the 2015 conference is Advances in Hydrologic Warning – The Race to Save Lives. The theme reinforces NHWC’s commitment to protecting lives, as well as property and the environment, with advanced hydrologic warning systems. The conference provides a multidisciplinary hydrologic warning training experience for field personnel, engineers, hydrologists, forecasters, water resource managers, emergency management officials, and others. The program includes a wide range of technical sessions covering the needs of those just getting started to those with advanced needs.
