Overview
This pre-packaged Data Collection Platform (DCP) was used with the GOES Satellite System. The DCP100 was retired on 1 April 2005 because it was based around the retired SAT HDR GOES transmitter. If you need a pre-packaged GOES DCP, Campbell Scientific offers the DCP200, which is based around the TX312 transmitter. Although retired, some replacement parts remain available (see Ordering Info).
Data Collection Platforms (DCPs) gather the measurements then transmit them, via GOES satellites, to a receiving station.
Technical Description
This pre-packaged Data Collection Platform (DCP) was used with the GOES Satellite System. The DCP100 was retired on 1 April 2005 because it was based around the retired SAT HDR GOES transmitter. Although retired, some replacement parts remain available (see Ordering Info).
In one package, the DCP100 provided the equipment required in a DCP, including a transmitter, antenna, enclosure, power supply, and a choice of data logger (our CR510, CR10X, or CR23X). The DCP100 complies with the High Data Rate (HDR) specifications.
