16755 2.4 GHz 13 dBd Yagi Enclosed Antenna with Mounting Hardware

Overview

The 16755 is a high-gain (13 dBd), directional (Yagi) antenna used with our 2.4 GHz radio transceivers. It is intended for longer distances, and for communicating to one other station (due to narrow beam width).

Detailed Description

The 16755 is a high-gain, Yagi antenna used with our 2.4 GHz spread spectrum transceivers. This outdoor antenna has a narrow beam width that requires precise aiming. It should be used to communicate with one distant station.

The 16755 requires an antenna cable to connect it to the transceiver. The COAXRPSMA is recommended for applications where the cable length is less than 10 ft. The COAXNTN cable requires the 31314 surge protection kit to connect it to the transceiver. The COAXNTN/31314 combination is recommended over the COAXRPSMA when the antenna cable will be longer than 10 ft (as measured between the transceiver and the antenna) or when the transceiver will be used in an environment susceptible to lightning or electrostatic buildup.

Compatibility

Spread Spectrum Transceivers

Contemporary products that use this antenna are the RF416 Spread Spectrum Radio, RF432 Spread Spectrum Radio, CR216X Datalogger, AVW216 Vibrating Wire Interface, and NL240 Wi-Fi Network Link. The 16755 is also compatible with our retired 2.4 GHz spread spectrum radios and dataloggers.

Antenna Cables

The following cables can be used:

    • COAXNTN-L—connects the antenna to the radio, datalogger, or interface via a surge protector.
    • COAXRPSMA-L—connects the antenna to the radio, datalogger, or interface when surge protection is not required.

Mounting Hardware

The antenna includes mounting hardware that accommodates a pipe of up to 5.2 cm (2.0 in.) outer diameter.
