The 18591 provides two 12-cm rods for the CS620 probe (the photograph shows one rod). If only one rod needs to be replaced, customers may order the 10184.

Features

Rods for the HydroSense probe are available in 12- and 20-cm lengths. There is no significant difference in performance between rod lengths. The choice of length depends on the application. Because the water content is averaged over the length of the rod, the reading from a probe with 20-cm rods inserted vertically into the soil surface will be the average value for the top 20 cm of soil. Probe rods may be inserted at an angle to reduce the measurement depth.
