URGENT! Anyone getting this message and is there any solution for it?

What method of communication are you using?

Vargen Oct 7, 2010 06:30 AM

I'm using usb to serial. Type of adapter is ST - Lab wich usally works just fine, have never experienced problems with it.

Can you tell me more about your system? Is it just a computer and a CR200? Had it been running before and now you're getting errors? Is this the only message that you get? Have you been able to connect to the datalogger despite this error message?

I'm having the same problem. PC200 reports the folllowing error:

Failure: 24-11-2010 11:03:16.245
PakBus framing error","Invalid low level signature
Failure: 24-11-2010 11:03:26.917
transaction failure","timed out or resource error","table poll","CR1000.Public_Cloned

The problem began after we replaced our CR1000 datalogger. The comunications are provided by two RF401 radios in transparent mode.

Which are tha causes that generate this error?

The invalid low level signature means that Loggernet has received some data into its serial port that is is trying to interpret as a Pakbus data packet but it appears to be corrupt, as proven by a signature check on the packet.

Reasons for this can include:

a) corruption of the data between the logger and Loggernet - more likely over a non-Pakbus aware radio link, but can happen with suspect serial interfaces. Sometimes this may be a very occasional occurence others it could be total.

b) a mismatch of baud rates between Loggernet and the logger or an interface in the way.

c) trying to talk via the wrong com port and something else responding instead of the logger.

There are other possibilities.

Thanks aps.

I've posted a new thread here :http://www.campbellsci.com/forum/messages.cfm?threadid=7F0B2131-01E1-7482-E068E34D41C7CA19

Now with PC200 i can collect data, but it's not still good, it's much slower than typical, and can't see status table.
