Root Directory Full

JamesMc Aug 30, 2016 07:44 PM

I tried downgrading a CR1000 from OS28 to OS27 remotely with an IP connection.  After the CR1000 came back online, I am unable to load the original program.  I get the error message 'The root directory is full'.  I have tried power cycling the datalogger.  Is there anything else that I can try remotely?

You will need to format the CPU of the datalogger.  In OS 28 we changed the format of the CPU from FAT16 to FAT32.  OS 27 can't read a CPU that is FAT32 formatted.  This will resolve the issue you are seeing.

You will need to go into File Control and do a Format of the CPU drive. In OS 28, we switched to a FAT32 format for the CPU drive. Older OS versions used FAT16 for the CPU drive.

Thanks guys, I am back up and running.  We tried upgrading to OS29 but the Pakbus/TCP Client callback connections did not seem to work properly aftwards, hence the revert to OS27.
