Issue with RF500 modem connecting to base station

spheuser Apr 28, 2016 02:08 PM

Hello,

We recently switched CR1000 dataloggers at a site that uses an RF500M to connect back to our base station. After the new datalogger was installed (with the identical program as the old datalogger), the field station could no longer connect to the base station.

Making the issue even stranger is that on our status monitor through loggernet at our base station, the line state says the station is "on line", even though it is not collecting data. After checking the datalogger at the field site, the CS I/O port is functioning properly as I was able to collect data off the logger that way on site.

I've tried switching out modems, radios, and necessary cables at the field site , as well as power cycling through both the field site datalogger and the loggernet service at our base station. Is there anything else that may be causing this issue? Thanks for any input.

Check to make sure that the PakBus address of the replacement datalogger is the same as the PakBus address of the datalogger that it replaced.
