The CR9000DC was closely related to the CR9000, and a compact version, known as the CR9000C. It used a base configured to deal more effectively with remote on/off power.
In August 2004, the CR9000DC was replaced with the CR9000XDC. The CR9000DC and CR9000XDC differ in their CPU Module; the CR9000DC uses the CR9031 and the CR9000XDC uses the CR9032. An existing CR9000DC datalogger may be upgraded to a CR9000XDC by replacing the CR9031 CPU module with the CR9032 CPU module. Although retired, replacement parts remain available (see Ordering Info).
