If it is OK not to do an automated H2O span, is it OK not to do an automated CO2 span?
The largest source of error in the LI-840A is CO2 and H2O zero (offset) drift with time and temperature. If it is not practical to do a span, it is still very helpful to do a zero; this is true for both CO2 and H2O.
