The SC929 is a cable interface between a datalogger and a computer. One end of the cable connects to the the datalogger's CS I/O port. The other end connects directly to the 9-pin serial port of a computer.  The SC929 does not provide optical isolation, so it should only be used with laptop computers running from internal batteries (not connected to ac power).
