About Sealed Rechargeable Batteries

All of our dataloggers can be powered with sealed rechargeable batteries. Our CR510, CR500, CR10, CR10X, CR800, CR850, and CR1000 dataloggers use the PS100 rechargeable power supply for many applications. Our CR23X, CR3000, CR5000, CR7, CR9000XC, and CR9000X dataloggers include batteries as part of their integrated package. Battery nominal ratings are 7.0 Ahr for the PS100, CR23X, CR3000, CR5000, CR7, and CR9000XC; 2.5 Ahr for the CR7; and 14 Ahrs for the CR9000X.

Campbell Scientific also offers the BP12 and BP24 battery packs for powering systems that have high current drain equipment. The BP12 and BP24 have nominal ratings of 12 and 24 Ahrs, respectively.

Rechargeable batteries should be float-charged by ac power or a solar panel. The CR3000 and CR5000’s batteries can also be float-charged by vehicle power.
