Q. What type of account do I need to set up with Cingular to use the Raven110 GPRS modem?

For most applications, it is less expensive to use CrossBridge Solutions as the carrier instead of going directly to Cingular. CrossBridge Solutions also has more flexible cellular plans and faster activation times.

Customers who have a large network may choose to contact Cingular directly. Please note that a custom APN is required for new Cingular accounts. The creation of a custom APN will take approximately four to six weeks and Cingular will charge a substantial fee for this service (~$1000.00).
