About PDA
Some PDAs can provide some on-site communication functions such as setting the datalogger's clock, monitoring real-time data, retrieving stored data, graphing historical data, and transferring datalogger programs. PDAs with a Palm OS require PConnect Software and PDAs with a Microsoft® Pocket PC or Windows Mobile OS require PConnectCE software. Both PConnect and PConnectCE are available from Campbell Scientific but the PDAs are not. Campbell Scientific also offers an infrared interface that allows infrared communication device that allows a PDA to communicate with a datalogger housed inside an environmental enclosure without opening the enclosure's door.
