Overview
The SunVue™30 is an ISO 9060:2018 spectrally flat Class A pyranometer developed through a multi-year engineering effort to redefine the ownership experience. Designed for high-precision solar monitoring, it delivers premium measurement quality with a low-maintenance, field-ready design. It is fully compliant with IEC 61724-1 Class A performance monitoring requirements, with an integrated dome heater for dew and frost mitigation.
The SunVue 30 delivers superior thermal offset performance relative to other Class A pyranometers, without the need for internal air circulation. This results in lower power consumption, making it an excellent choice for both resource assessment and power performance monitoring applications. It is designed for ease of installation and maintenance, featuring an integrated mounting system and dual viewable bubble levels for precise alignment.
This digital sensor uses RS-485 Modbus communications. The SunVue 30 integrates seamlessly with Campbell Scientific data loggers and stations, including the SunScout™ and the SunSentry. It is compatible with any Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system or other data-acquisition system capable of reading RS-485 Modbus.
The M12 five-pin connector for power and communications uses a harmonized pin layout to facilitate daisy-chaining of all sensors on a PV string. This simplifies the installation and reduces cost. The SunVue 30 is an excellent choice for measuring global horizontal irradiance (GHI), plane-of-array irradiance (POA), and rear-plane-of-array irradiance (RPOA). This makes it an ideal solution for solar resource assessment and photovoltaic (PV) performance monitoring.

(4)RS485CBL
Five-Conductor Cable with M12 Five-Pin A-Coded Connector
The RS485CBL cable uses a five-conductor shielded cable with an M12 five-pin A-coded connector. The cable has a polyurethane jacket that is UV resistant. The RS485CBL has been custom designed for sensors that use the RS-485 Modbus protocol with integrated power and signal lines. The signal lines have twisted pairs with 24-gauge conductors, and the power lines have a heavier 20-gauge wire, making the cable uniquely suitable for sensors with a higher current draw that have either short or long runs. An aluminum Mylar shield is grounded via a drain wire and connected to the M12 nut.

Adjustable Plane and Angle Solar Mounting Stand
The CM256 adjustable-angle, adjustable-plane mounting stand further simplifies the accurate and precise mounting of a pyranometer, ventilation unit, shadowband radiometer, or reference cell. Several pyranometer mounting stands have been combined and simplified to make ordering easier and usability friendlier. The CM256 is a combination of the CM255LS pyranometer mount, CM245 reference cell and shadowband mount, 31394 VU01 mount, and 31153 CVF4 mount. In addition, several new sensors are now fully supported such as the SPN1, MS-80(M), SR30, SR05, and IMT reference cell CM325.

Single-Axis Tracker Mounting Stand
The CM261 single-axis tracker pyranometer mount with adjustable plane simplifies the mounting of any pyranometer, ventilation unit, reference cell, or SPN1 to octagonal, round, and square single-axis torque tubes. The CM261 is a combination and simplification of the CM260 and CM265 to make ordering easier and usability friendlier. The bracket includes provisions for mounting the sensors and ventilation units at different heights, allowing the sensing element to be mounted at the same height as the solar modules.

Solar Sensor Mounting Stand
The stainless-steel CM225 attaches one pyranometer or quantum sensor to a mast, crossarm, or pole (1 to 2 in. OD). Many pyranometers and quantum sensors also require a leveling base that secures the sensor to the CM225 as well as level the sensor. The CM225 consists of a rectangular plate, mounting bracket, U-bolts, lock washers, and nuts.
OrderableCM255
Solar Adjustable-Angle Mounting Stand
The CM255 is used for most applications that require mounting a solar sensor at adjustable angles. The CM255 includes slots that can be adjusted to any angle from horizontal to vertical. The mounting stand is designed to work with masts, crossarms, or poles that have a 2.5 to 3.8 cm (1.0 to 1.5 in.) outer diameter. It is not designed for applications using a rotating shadowband radiometer (RSR).
